Two LagoonsA Poem by Anne GoldmannI had a dream about you. And me. We had both lost something. We wore black and walked with people who didn't know what to say to us. It was the first time I saw you without makeup. We stood on the edge of a lake because something was just gone. No evidence except for the debris of hearts. There were articles written, a dedication, a procession, confusion. Formal apologies. We were both quiet and shocked and carried on. There was a buffet and I saw what had been lost to me. He turned around and I said, "What happened." Then I woke up. But I still feel like I'm wearing black and I'm still thinking about you. © 2014 Anne GoldmannAuthor's Note
