The cages closing in

The cages closing in

A Poem by AC Cheatwood
"

I wrote this after a dream I had.

"

The cages closing in
The light soon becoming so scarce
Only a flicker is seen
Freedom taken
The depths of death encaging my mind
As I feel a wave crash over my head,
I feel a deep sorrow
Yet happiness fills up every crevice of my soul
The darkness blinding me
Creating an unexplainable security
What some feel as frightening,
I find the greatest hope of all
The hope that soon the light
From which I have been taken
Will come again
And from that
A new soul emerges…

There is a natural order of things. Darkness is no less important than light. We must have both polarities for balanced living. This is very strong. Welcome to the cafe.
