Long Gone

Long Gone

A Poem by Carly

Do you still think of me?
And how we used to be

All the pain

Love and misery

Memories that linger

Even though its history

As we try to move on

The world keeps moving

And we are long gone

Our picture perfect fantasy

And chemistry so blinding

Our moment to shine

Faded out

Like the smile that was

Once upon my face

I wanted it all

You pushed it away

When you knew you loved me

As we try to move on

The world keeps moving

And we are long gone

Our picture perfect fantasy

And chemistry so blinding

Our moment to shine

Faded out

Like the smile that was

Once upon my face

You were all I wanted

I left everything behind

You could have gave me a chance

I know you loved me

Our picture perfect fantasy

And chemistry so blinding

Our moment to shine

Faded out

Like the smile that was

Once upon my face

painful.... struggling...
wow.... devastating though...
can't say more... no words available for the amazing repetition of lines....
only music is missing.... so sweet yet sad....

As I finish your words, words that feel so much like a beautiful bittersweet song, I feel the joy that once was lingering in your smile. This smile that fades as the light passes away. So painfully brilliant.

I don't think it matters if you are moving towards some great all knowing destination in life as long as you know exactly what you want. I am who I am, I don't tend to fit into any crowd and I don't w.. more..
