Descension

Descension

A Poem by Anna

I slip between
     the pages
          within this,
and watch the white
     turn scarlet hues...
as I slide at an
     angle only
          paper cuts
               can love.
yet...
     I do not
     stop the flow
of ruby emulsion,
     Even as the sting
          fills with
               infection.
