Skydive
A Poem by
Anna
Pull the
rip cord.
Let
the winds of
change
take their
course,
and feet
will
land upon
solid
ground,
with
fear left
in the clouds.

oh the tumble of it! I love the word play and the way it evokes a feeling of submitting to the fall and the release from fear....very nice writing...

neat - likening `time changes all things` to a sky-dive
`the winds of
change
take their
course,`
and feet DO land on solid ground
and we DO fear making that move,
nice write

Interesting physical format of the poem gave me the impression of the parachute at different elevations floating down and then finally the parachuter landing. I like that it addressed how we have fears with change, risk, and the unknown and yet we can come through stronger and confident after the challenge or change is met or complete.

Anna,
Love the imagery - more so perhaps as I have jumped from an airplane once. Consider dropping a few of the small words to increase impact - perhaps it changes the meaning for you too much but how about...
Pull the

land upon
soild

fear left
in the clouds.

Wonderful writing, catching the right moment of change in a skydive and transforming it into a milestone of change in one's life. Lovely expressions, and perfect shaping. Thank you for sharing

hmm,
this gave me the picture of someone jumping out of an airplane,
but then it flashed to someone completely changing their life right at the end there.
Thanks for sharing.

Perfect.
I can feel the words being compressed by the forces of nature.
It is a diamond.
