Sacrificing Lucidity

Sacrificing Lucidity

A Poem by Anna

With lunch today
Insanity is...
brewed like tea, in a chipped pot,
and poured...
It leaks from a cracked cup
leaving a ring of brown
liquid that is not quite like ink
yet stains a circle of
discontent into the wood it rests on.

Interesting and a little bit backwards - kind of tilts the brain to get a better glimpse for example: " stains a circle of discontent into the wood it rests on. " (rather than the stain on the wood - liking this bit here)

I wish for more of this thought process to prove that it's not lucid...I want to go 360 in my mind's eye.

(more please)

I wish my mind could see things like this. I love the way that you used tea, the way its poured, the way it leaks, the residued stain thats left from the leak. Not even sure that I understand it the way that you see it, but to me is a beautiful poem. I don't know if you intended this, but I saw a parallel between insanity, the chipped cup, and the cracked cup. I really sat and thought on this. This really challenged me. Short and poinient(sp?) and nothing I would do to improve perfection.
