Struggles of LoveA Poem by annamaezinnComfort my kisses. Console my silk lined lips, That rest with the innocence of a child, On the rigid bones that shape your broad back. Remember my touch. Recollect my gently calloused hands, that hold, with the strength of a lover, the time worn lines that tell of life lived, on your face. These are my memories of love, as sweet and gentle as the cool summer breeze, as meaningful and open as a door with two sets of keys. Mother earth grant us, the privilege of love. Allow our hearts to be opened, to the joy of another beings hands, placed so perfectly around us. Mother earth give us, the strength to endure love. Allow our eyes to see, the beauty that comes from the storm, the gold that comes from the depths of the fire, the triumph that comes from the struggles of love.© 2010 annamaezinn |
