IVA Poem by AnnalisaWritten in April 2008.Behind the anger lies desire, the hunger to be left alone. However the more I withdraw the more invitations arrive in the mail. The family demands dinner and a photo, work demands attendance and civility, men expect sex and the etiquette that surrounds a relationship. It is believed that people need to interact on a social level to remain sane. And yet all the people in the world could never make up for the euphoric oblivion solitude offers, the clarity loneliness gives to thought, and the peace found in silence. © 2008 AnnalisaReviews
