Unequal Love

Unequal Love

A Poem by Anna
"

hey guys! sorry i haven’t been posting anything lately, life got crazy. here’s a lil poem i wrote about being in love and the pain it can cause.

"

it was a love that was vibrant and mysterious
yet so broken, so intrusive, so unequal
illusions of a warmly lit flame of equality
brightening both of our hearts and lives
leading us to pure desire, pure intentions
a reflection of what we crave most diminishes
the flame keeping us together gets extinguished when reality hits us
we are separated
unable to see or feel each other
desperation floods our bodies and
all the pain we numbed ourselves to becomes a portal to the inevitable
here we are floating in the dark, screaming for someone to hear us
grasping onto to nothingness as we get further away
in the end

we are alone

A little word economy would go a long way.

I like the fundamentals

I'd kiss you if you let me.

(you're not alone)
don't worry
