Letting goA Poem by Anna
memories
they will always remain alive in your mind some can be soft like a breeze in a green meadow others can be cruel like the wind on a high mountaintop we hold onto both as if our life depends on them but do they? what if instead of letting both inhabit your mind, you toss the painful memories away make room for the soft breeze not the strong shivering winds because if we do that, negativity will dissipate a little and the world can become a beautiful sight that draws positive attitudes the harsh truth is no one will listen because sadly the memories we fear the most are the ones we remember like when a person breaks your heart you cling to the memories of their lips on yours or how their hand fit so perfectly to yours but these will just cause so much more icy biting wind stored deep away is the memory of the first day you learned to read this is the feeling of accomplishment and its the polar opposite of the hurt and pain from a broken relationship so why do the memories that haunt us the most become the ones that are as clear as a summer day yet the loved ones become buried in snow during the harshest winter there would be so much less crime and shame and so much more more laughter and compassion why is it so hard to destroy the dark memories? because humanity cannot sadly survive without hurt © 2017 AnnaReviews
