Essence Beyond GrandA Poem by lovelyricalpoetryIn the summer of 2008, I visited Niagara Falls, Canada for the very first time. It was awe-inspiring and this poem was a direct result of my visit.
Over the edge, thundering awe,
With majestic splendour it calls.
Rising far above the gorge,
The amazing Niagara Falls.
Billowing clouds of ethereal mist,
Soaring over the crowd.
Not easy to speak, or be heard,
For the rushing water is loud.
The wondrous grandeur of the Falls,
A difficult thing to describe.
There’s a certain magic there,
Something in the vibe.
Pictures may capture the spectacle,
But the essence is beyond grand,
One must visit Niagara Falls,
To truly understand.
