Caribbean Escape

Caribbean Escape

A Poem by lovelyricalpoetry
"

If you've never been to the Caribbean, and you can go, you really should! I only have to close my eyes and I'm back there.

"

Caribbean Escape

Soft white sand clings to my glass,
Condensation traps it there,
A trickle of sweat runs across my brow,
But I really do not care.

A sultry breeze caresses my skin,
I can hear the ocean hiss,
My nearly naked body bronzed,
By a tropical sunshine kiss.

Palm trees gently swaying,
People frolicking, having fun,
A waiter just picked up my drink,
And brought me another one.

A linguistic cocktail around me,
Mellow voices and laughter abound,
There’s a common thread that can be felt,
In this tropical paradise I’ve found.

The Caribbean’s like a body massage,
It leaves you aroused, wanting more.
If you can take this winter escape,
It’s well worth saving for.

I can truely relate to this poem because I was born and is still living in the Caribbean. On a little Island called Grenada. So when I tell you this poem captures the relaxing atmostphere of the islands there is no mistake. This poem is good.
