Follow me into daylight

Follow me into daylight

A Poem by annabellee

It's only in the dark that these demons come out to play

so follow me into daylight

where the sun burns these devils to the ground

merciless, they'll die

where the wind sings to you of promises no one's made yet

promises of a new start

where the endless sky takes you by the hand and begs you

come fly with me

where the trees and the flowers and all things that live

welcome you into their blooming world

These are the wonders of a new day, a new dawn

so follow me into daylight

Spoken to someone in the darkness, asking them to join you in the light. I like it.

I'm very bad at poems so I'm afraid I can't give you any constructive criticism
HOWEVER (xD)
I like the pace you've written it in, it kept me hanging on every word
well done :D

Ha!
Like a Respectful man always love following beautiful woman with whom he's in love just as same as respectful man every true writer would love to follow the lead of another true writer into daylight.
Very nice poem!

Oh I love this. So gentle - I can almost see you holding out your hand! And, yes - all true. This poem touches me, not just because it's a good poem, but because I can relate to it. Thank you.

Just come back to add this! I have a page on Face Book for my writing and mostly, I just share my own work as that's what it's for... But every Midday, I do a "Midday Other" slot, where I share the work of someone other than myself... Would it be ok if I shared this poem of yours (fully credited of course) in my Midday Other slot? I could send you a link when it's up.

I'll give you a link to my page so that you know what you're letting yourself in for. Let me know!

You made me smile with this one :) "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that" - Martin Luther King, Jr. I happened to think of that quote after reading..
