Death of a dreamerA Poem by annabellee
Up on the highest tower
a dreamer died tonight he climbed as high as he could get but still couldn't touch the sky So in the darkest hour when the world doesn't see he took his last step and the last thing he saw was me Then he fell into the stars and became one of them finally he was up high and his world at last began And now when I look up into the stars I see his face up there and all the other million faces that died and landed there A million dreamers shine tonight at last, finally and when I look up to them sometimes I wish it could be me And then I make a wish upon the stars I wish I could climb higher than anyone ever before and I could touch the sky, yeah Up on the highest tower a dreamer died tonight she climbed as high as she could get but still couldn't touch the sky So in the darkest hour when the world doesn't see she took her last step and was never to be seen But she fell into the stars and became one of them finally she was up high and her world at last began So if you wonder where I am just look into the stars there my life shines so brightly 'cause that's where dreamers are © 2013 annabelleeReviews
