Remember This

For my lovely sisters.

Somedays,

you are the only reasons

I ever want to stay here,

on this earth. 

 

God gave me you for that reason;

To make this life more enjoyable

And less painful.

 

When I lose my grip.

When I lose a friend.

You know what to do, 

Even though you haven't a clue what's going on. 

 

You bring humor and laughter

to a world so drab and dark.

And only you hold the brush that paints my world. 

 

Right now, you are sleeping.

Safe and sound in your bunk beds.

The worst things that happen to you are nightmares

and thunder storms. 

 

But I dread the day when you grow up

and learn the pains of the world,

because you save me from them everyday

without even knowing it. 

 

I hope that when get into a dark place in your life,

that you can read this and remember

that you are so loved.

 

If you leave so will I,

whether I want to or not.
