The Cool Girl

The Cool Girl

A Poem by A. Lee

The Cool Girl

Be the cool girl.

That’s the ultimate goal, right?

That’s the defining compliment from a man.

“She’s a cool girl.”

She’s hot.

She’s brilliant.

She’s independent.

She’s not a b***h.

The Cool Girl has friends that are other girls,

But she’s too good for all of their drama.

Because guys don’t have drama.

They solve their problems the right way.

The Cool Girl adores football

She plays poker and video games

Drinks beer and can handle her booze

Laughs at dirty jokes.

She eats like a man

And burps better than all the guys

But still maintains a size two.

Because the Cool Girl is still hot, above all else.

Hot and understanding

Tom-boy-ish but sexy

She lets men do whatever they want.

She doesn’t get angry.

Go ahead.

S**t on me.

I don’t mind.

I’m the cool girl.
