Colliding worlds

Colliding worlds

A Poem by Ana Del

Past and present mend into one.
Are you a dream?
Why did you come
To trigger in me memories of a forgotten world
And to awake lost feelings of screaming wolfs ?
How did you even manage to touch my soul?

I barely know you and even so
It feels as if I know you from long ago.
Your eyes speak a language my heart recognizes
And no matter how much I try to reason it
My heart is acting like a rebel kid,
An adolescent at its peak of puberty...
It doesn't wanna listen, it sings
So loud that it awakes my hopes
Brings me back to life
And puts an everyday smile on my face.

It mends feelings of love forgotten long ago
As if recent past memories were only an illusion
And all the bad things seem to fade.
All the pain is still inside
But the two worlds - the old one of concrete pain and the one you showed to my endless and restless imagination -
Now seem to collide.

What dream is this?
Is this a dream of love?
Will I soon wake up again
Realizing it was just another of these
Universe's cruel shows?

Please let me dream some more.
Let me dream about those lips i long for
About that bohemian air that sourrounds you
And about that love that you carry all around you.

Let me dream because i stoped daring to.
