When life tricks you in

When life tricks you in

A Poem by Ana Del

When life tricks you in,
Makes you smile being a child,
Lets you grow and fall in love,
So that later it can bring you down
And in the end abruptly decide
That you too can have nothing at all,

When it spills blood on your face
And beats you without mercy,
Making suffering unbearable,
Everything appearing to be less than void,
You look up to the stars and wonder:

Is this my nightfall ?
