Behind her smile

The lines of smile on her face

Trying to hide the haze

I realize the image behind the smile

Scar of past and the mystery of future

She looks beautiful without those lines

But the tears she shed under the black cloud

Made me to blame god of the rain

Her blue eyes filled with the ocean

Showing me the story in her heart

That black shadow of her getting fade

As the darkness of pain taking her to the grave

But the lines of smile on her face

Telling me the million thing without the blinking eyes

Smiles do hide so much and are somewhat deceptive. This poem describes that so well. I like the idea of "lines of smile" as if each line depicts a different aspect of who she is while still attempting to disappear. Beautiful poem. Thank you for writing it and sharing it with us.
