the innocent heart

the innocent heart

A Poem by Ankur Sharma
"

As a child I believed the world where every one is happy but as my understanding grew I saw one thing for me there can not be badder thing then this that is Human trafficking for prostitution.

"
Standing in the middle of voices
In front of lots of walking and looking eyes
Making me frightened from inside
Waiting for someone who would stand beside
Just watching the hungry and cruel wolf around me
But nowhere to go beyond the bloody sea
I too had story of love and compassion
Ends at my soul assassination
My world fall down
When I was found in the red town
Standing at the middle of stage
And in front of lots of hands
Just to grab the innocence of me
I am a piece going to be sold
Waiting for someone to be bold
But It was the lusty devil gonna me hold
And I was there lying on the floor
just with null feeling and abhor
Shattered thought making me grey
I was a body in the social prey
Again I am standing in the middle of voices
With The lost of faith and hopes
No one will be there to be bold and stand beside me
Crying on me believed the world alike my dream
My body is not mine any more
But  my heart is innocent and pure
I have a luck enriching destitute
Now I am a girl to be called prostitute...

The character of the poem is in the middle of a crowd listening to others and is afraid to speak because of fear of being listened to, critized or judged.

From the following,

"My body is not mine any more
But my heart is innocent and pure
I have a luck enriching destitute
Now I am a girl to be called prostitute..."

we conclude several options.

Woman in any society have to resort to jobs which demean their entire being but that's the story of a woman, scared, restless, seeking a helping hand from people around her to save herself from the demeaning agony. You expressed the mood of the protagonist so well.......nice job
