The Traveller

This poem tells about the life of those who used to travel from place to place in oder to earn a livelihood .

The individual who travelled
far or less
across the mighty ocean
away from his family
away from all the daily mess

Had to chose between routes
to meet the destination of his
the next destination still calling loudly
from the earlier one ,
he has to retreat

The daily wish to get to his love
playing a good game with the trivial dove.
Sending messages of welfare
Wishing the same ,since he'd care.

Crossing the deserts
halting in dunes
challenging the death every single moment
playing with his fortunes .

Life gets harder for him.
But it's so in his case
cause he is the one who travel
the traveller ,travelling far or less

An interesting poem with a remarkable message. I did find the poetic voice a bit dry and dispassionate as well as the imagery difficult to get in depth with. However, for an early poem it is quite impressive. Well done.
