to be loved

to be loved

A Poem by Anggela

I want to be loved

The way poets do

Making me their muse.

I want to be loved

The kind of love that only exist in films.

I want to confirm that

something like that is real

and that I deserve such thing.

I’ve only known deception,

And not what real love should be

Not what it seems to.

I only know the love I have given

And it’s bright and wonderful,

But I wish that kind of love

Finds its way towards me…

Good evening Anggela. Your poem is a thing of mystery and beauty, but it cuts me like the cold steel of a saber just sharpened. I once loved a woman in that way which is your wish expressed so sadly here. I did make her my muse, she knighted me her poet. I thought we had a love and a life only found in novels. In the end, she left me broken, haunted. I wish for you that love, that love for which you wish. I hope that you can bear it.
