In the Darkness

After each day

More and more gossip

My soul feels depressed

No one to confine to

No one who would understand

 

I went to a dark place and started crying

Would they understand?

No, they don’t

 

I try talking to people

But with more stares

And more ignores

I hushed myself up

 

I know that people wouldn’t understand

They think I’m weird

They think I’m strange

 

Would there be someone that understands me?

This was fantastic. The pain and hurt was so real. I liked how the narrator tries to stop his depression and sadness by opening up, but when he is rejected he withdraws himself further from society. Because people think he his odd and isn't what all the magazines say is "normal" they ignore him and outcast him. The ending was really eye catching. I liked how the person isn't giving up hope in finding someone to understand him, but in the same sense it is like a desperate cry. (sorry for using he when the narrator may be a female. I just didn't want to use he/she every time.)
