Escape

Escape

A Poem by deepblue04

No matter how close

freedom is,

I can never touch it.

I could never getting freedom,

living here.

I need to go away,

experience freedom.

I need to get rid of these chains,

that hold me down.

Don't ask me,

to come back.

School is my only escape.

Being able to see friends each day,

it's my only relief.

But coming home,

the chores start to pile on me.

I need to go away,

experience freedom.

I need to get rid of these chains,

that hold me down.

Don't ask me,

to come back.

I hardly see my friends.

My mind is starting to spin for not seeing them.

I need relief.

I need time for myself.

I need to go away,

experience freedom.

I need to get rid of these chains,

that hold me down.

Don't ask me,

to come back.

Let me break away.

Let me go.

For I'm going to leave someday.
