An Unexpected Friendship1

An Unexpected Friendship1

A Chapter by deepblue04

The New Boy

There was a new boy, Chase

His sea-blue eyes and dark-brown hair,

It caught my eye at first glance

But I can't get him,

I'm a nobody

No one notice me

No one talks to me

Except for my best friend

And plus,

Claire would probably get dibs on him

She's the most popular girl in school

All the boys go after her first,

Then realize that she is too much for them.

After being humiliated by her,

They go to girls that they would like

I hope to get Chase to notice me.

He did say hi.

I hope he can get pass my oddity and strangeness

And see that we could be something

before Claire ruins him.

A nice start to the story. Hope and desire are alive in the poem. A very good opening chapter.

Stereotyped, but just the way lonery girls feel. The general 'I know he likes her and she's bad and there's nothing I can do!' It's a sad thing to go through. I do like the straight forward prose approach
