Nothing from the typical

Pain was what I was growing up to

No kindness, no happiness

Just pain

 

Most people can’t comprehend my story

Only a rare do

It seems like a typical story

But to me,

It’s different from the rest

 

I get beat up

In home, at school, everywhere

I’m not a gang member

I’m not a fighter

I just take in the beating

 

I never deserved it

I did nothing wrong

I never gave the attitude

I never acted smart

 

Yet, why do people get mad at me?

Is there something wrong with me?

I just want everything to be good

I just want to live a good life
