Dark Road

Walking down a dark road

With each step, with each breath,

I’m consumed with more and more darkness

No one to help me,

No one to speak to

 

With no light on the dark road

Brings more depression to my soul

Bound by so many chains, my body can barely move

I am forced to walk down this road

 

With more memories of sadness

Tears flowing from my eyes

With more depression on my soul

My tears puddle around me

Yet I can’t lift my hands to dry them

 

Little whispers, little laughs, little gossips

They increase with every step I take

They are all about me

Telling how worthless and pathetic I am

More tears flow from eyes

 

I’ll never know the end to this road

This road goes on

It is very dark, but the darker it is the more I appreciate it! Very well expressed emotions. I'm not a poem expert, which makes it hard to like poems, but I loved this one!

It is a good amount of dark. It is dark and hopeless and sad, but a good read. Just a little suggestion of maybe changing some of the words to emphasize the dark feelings you wish to represent so the reader can feel it more. Its still a good poem.
