A new world

I have gone through a lot the past couple of weeks.

Thanks to college, I realized a lot about myself.

 

For one, I am very terrified of being alone,

but I was able to suck it up.

Thanks to my roommate who is nevere there,

I realized how to somewhat conquer the fear...

 

Also, I figured out that people look so unique.

There has been a lot of people who look like each other,

but don't look like each other.

Some were ugly, some were pretty.

 

This is the new world I have come to learn.

Your poem has some interesting observations. It's a big step in life when we get out on our own, learning how to cope with new situations and make new discoveries. Not only do people all look different but every individual is unique in many ways. Although couched in simple language your poem sparks thought and prompts us to view others as they are.
