Defeat

Defeat

A Poem by Pevi Mae

Aren’t we each other’s strangers from the very start?

But what charm do you possess just so you can tame the fiercest beast inside me?

How this timeless tale turned reality at the least expected moment was definitely out of question.  For the first time, I knew I was captivated.  No doubt I was, and was for certain.  Yet for the first time, I knew I was scared, scared of losing you.  Because you are my weakness yet my strength; my breeze yet my flaming light; my weapon yet my conqueror;

I lost from this no ordinary battle. But it was cupid’s arrow that led to this warrior’s sudden defeat. Fall for me that you may take me to where your heart lies for this will serve as my sweetest revenge.

And never will I ever let go of it.

Because something is telling me

You only belong to me
