insomnia

insomnia

A Poem by Pevi Mae

Cast a spell on me,

O creature of the night

that I may dream of eternity

consumed to the dazzling beauty of darkness.

Won’t you prevent the flames of daylight from shattering when I’m loving the taste of this potion?

O keeper of the soul,

have you gone wild

that your long lost wings have returned?

This never-ending madness,

will it be forbidden?

How I pretend to be numb

so I can feel the wind no more.

I’m too afraid to fall

in the abyss of uncertainty

and still I took the risk.

Am I to deserve this one full turn,

and my heart pondered,

will I ever let go?

Sometimes the mind wanders and gets lost but sleep is still elusive. This is something we all can relate to. Keep writing!

I agree with Atomicorb. The mind takes twist and turns during the night. Pushing to insanity sometimes.

I love this!

YEAH!! NICE! Ahhh, the ponderings we ponder when sleep alludes us. This poem read like a day dream @ 3:15 in the morning! Love the manic flow.
