Shy Saddened Love

Seeing you walk towards me

makes me hold my breath

Hearing your deep gentle voice

makes my face turn red

Touching your hand, even in the slightest

makes a shiver run down my spine

Feeling your clear, undeniable warmth

makes happiness fly 'cross my mind

 

All I want is to make you smile.

 

Seeing you with other girls

makes my heart feel sore

Hearing how you want another

makes me want you even more

Touching you with dirtied hands

makes me want to save your innocence

Feeling a chasm splitting us apart

makes me want to scream out the truth

 

All I want is to make you smile.

 

Flying on your golden wings

makes me want to soar higher

Moving closer, if only a little

makes my heart beat faster

Listening to whispers only you could say

makes me feel like the only one

But knowing you'll never return these emotions

just makes me want to remain by your side
