about my eating disorder, again. about relapse and recovery.

She believed she had found strength
in that self-induced void
to which she held so tightly.

Her own self-destruction was what maintained
that so-called strength,
until the day it broke her down.

Years consumed solely
by deprivation, denial,
then depression.

Acceptance.

After so many tears,
that so- called strength I forged for years.
Acceptance.

I'm learning that strength is something you choose,
you don't find happiness by searching.
