Life is a choice,

grow wise out of it.

Trouble is a toy,

play with it.

Let your heart 

scream out aloud;

We are, what we make of it..

Past is a baggage,

get rid of it.

Fear is a stranger,

shy away from it.

Burst open yourself

to possibilities;

We are, what we make of it..

Pain is a chisel

shape yourself with it.

Happiness is a gift

unwrap it.

Go, grab this moment, 

make it count;

We are, what we make of it..

Courage is a rock,

stand by it.

Hope has wings

fly with it.

Reach out to the sky 

and dare yourself;

We are, what we make of it..

Don't let someone

to talk you into disbelief.

you are, what you are.

Today, is the day,

to cruise along;

And, remember,

We are, what we make of it..

What wisdom you have imparted to your reader in this truly wondrously penned poem, Abhi. What excellent advice you give to your reader, each stanza is a gem for creating a better way of life than the one a person presently has. I love the repetition of the final line of the first verse in each of the following verses. It brings home to the reader that we are what we are because of what we make of life, because of the choices we've made. We have to play the cards which life deals to us and the choices of what cards we keep close to our chest and the choices of what cards we lay down, are ours alone to make and the life we live will be the result of those choices. A very stimulating/motivational write Abhi. Your words inspire your reader to take stock of themselves, to change and become the person they were always meant to be.
