And that my friend, is the difference between living in hoy and cold climates.
You make it sound almost romantic, but the reality from where I'm at is just a lo-cal diet version of winter that makes us wait and wait for the briefest glimpse of sun, only for it to be taken away by drizzles that turn into monsoons, snow and ice! (Yes, you heard me right!)
Did you know that there is more chance of it snowing at Easter than at Christmas? Anyone living in a cold country does! 😃
The last time I wore a t shirt my n*****s turned it to rags in minutes.
No, give me the incessant dry arid heat akin to living in a volcano any day!
😃

I hope they come along soon your way. Snow on Easter - that's interesting, so looks like you are looking ahead for a snowy winter weekend coming up. Thank you so much for reading and sharing your thoughts, Lorry. Appreciate it much!
God, I can't breathe.I would give a few years of my life to live in this poem. excellent narration and descriptions are so vivid. I want us all to feel like this this April. This is one of my favorite poems, I will set a reminder to read it from time to time. Your name will be mentioned alongside the best poets in literary books.

We have showers in April now here, thanks so much for taking me back to this poem and those thoughts of rain. You been very kind to me with words, honestly all I can all say is Thank you so much! Have a great April, Beren. Take care!
The very best part of this poem is how you capture this scene with vivid imagery for all the senses. When you say something is "apple red" or "vanilla" -- these are great color expressions, because we also get flavor, scent, crunch sensations, lots of extra information beyond "color" to stimulate all the senses, not just the eyes. Another thing that stands out in your poem is the difference between winter rain which can be dramatic but gray & dreary, but you show us the contrast about spring rains, which are so lively & which seem to perk up all the new life that's abounding. Happy Easter to you & your loved ones (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

One can see the beauty when it is not restricted and tied. I can see this in this write of yours. I loved the way it is written. What a welcome to a the cherished one!
It literally swayed me as it went on its unrestricted flow ( I hope you understand what I mean).
Romance with showers, the beauty of the beginning and end are particularly echoing in my heart. Very nicely written. Loved reading it.
Thank you for sharing.:-)

Yes, rains are a beautiful phenomenon and any words or verses are less to express the warmth, love and happiness they bring forth! Appreciate you visiting and sharing your feedback on this one. Thank you!
A lovingly written ode to rain given birth from the passing of seasons.
An imagery-ladened piece that drips its images just like the droplets of rain in your April showers. The language used and choice of words is very descriptive and delicately written to describe the wonder that occurs at the time of the seasonal rains.
A very creative piece of writing. Very well done.

Review: Wow! What imagery in words you weave and walk your readers through a fantasy like world of compassion and emotion. Great use of words that I seldom see used by anyone younger than me which shows you have a very good vocabulary. The timing and meter are ideal, I hope you get the chance to use this at a poetry reading as I am sure it would bring down the house. Great job I give it five out of five Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!

Now, I'm truly flattered here. Hope someday I can get my poems to poetry reading. However, I mostly write for the want to express myself on paper and give life to the thoughts that runs through my head at times. I'm glad you found it worthy enough to be read out at poetry reading :) Thanks so much for reading this one and leaving a review.

I think most poets write because they have a need to artistically express themselves, a live reading is just another way of doing that plus it gives you an exhilarating rush :~)
