Hero of my heart

For once, let me be me

from toe to knee

high unto the sky.

If you ask me why?

I ain't desire to die

an old man shy

on a will to survive.

For once, let me fly 

from soul to mind to eye

give me no other reason why.

If you come around and pry

you'd see,

I deep desire to be 

all but free.

dare not

I be hung dry

on this rope of try;

For nothing, takes me apart 

I'm the hero of my heart.
