I drink from
the crystal laced eyes
of yours,
as they coerce me
in its enchanting splendour.
The goblet
of sugared nectar
held in your eyes
oozes out
like the morning dew drops
washing me in
unbearable lightness.
Don't let the eyes
to look at me,
in mischievously
nerving ways,
I'm afraid
if it would
rob all of me
that I ever had.
Don't let my soul
to rest in peace
with just one glint
of you,
I want to die
in its irresistible tease
so that,
I can rise again
to be teased
until I die
again and again...
This is excruciatingly beautiful! Wow! It could be the most original & "out there" way I've heard anyone speak worship for the eyes! I love when a poet goes lightyears beyond what other people are doing with regard to something ordinary like eyes. That opening stanza just blows a reader's socks off! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I think you have looked into the eyes of Medusa and indeed seem from this flowing description to be wholly intoxicated. Personally I avoid women whose eyes suppurate lol. Nice passion and expression of being mesmerised in this piece.

There is something so amazing about the eyes of the one we love. It doesn't matter how many times we look into them, we always find ourselves drowning in their beauty.
Very delicately written and tenderly described. Lovely writing.

I'm glad you liked the poem. Yes, eyes are a window to world and sometimes they lead you to a wonderful world where you may but lose yourself for all eternity in it's splendor.
Thanks so much, for stopping by and sharing your thoughts :)
Beautifully structured, worded and the flow is seamless, in a wonderful piece that defines that time freezing moment, that evaporates everything else to background noise, as you get lost within the gaze that changes your mind, body and soul.
exquisite piece of writing Abhilash.
