for as long i can remember prices have always gone up. up! 

i remember gas wars during the summer months 

when pump price was less than 2 bits! 

there were short spans when a few prices did go down ... 

some float following supply/demand 

while others are on a steady pace to the more expensive side.

same goes for media. 

what once was kinda/sorta straight forward messaging ... 

OK i'm fudging!

but in OG journalism, we knew straight out honest or not ... facts or fiction.

now days? 

who the fuk knows! 

how many news distribution companies/groups/self-interest postings are there?

it started with nbc, cbs, abc 

THAT WAS IT. 

30 minutes in the morning 30 minutes at noon 

then another round starting at 5 with a final wrap up at 10 or 11.

newspapers had a morning edition and a evening edition. 

NOW?

news was news weather was weather sports was sports 

NOT TODAY!

sensational journalism, tella novellas if one would. 

everybody is a rock star!

anchor and co-host jockey for 1st seat news anchor.

weather guy was mostly geeks 

then came jim cantori ... the donald trump of cable weather.

remember when he faked leaning into the hurricane force winds

only to be c**k blocked 

by 2 flip flop walking beach goers! 

NO? doesn't matter does it?

and all the way to joe & mika ... 

doesn't say much for integrity now does it?

is everything a target? 

fair game for assault? 

certainly BUT everything has always been on the table 

difference is ... we are basically simple-minded morons. 

we eat up the mass quantities of everything in instant gratification mode. yesteryear?

what we thought was a public service was
