all respect

A Poem by keith
"

give what is earned give what is deserved

"
When a fellow civil rights worker was killed after the 1965 march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama,

King said:

“If physical death is the price that some must pay to free their children and their white brothers from an eternal psychological death, then nothing can be more redemptive.”

all respect

i respect this man
more than
i respect myself
odd coupling
he and i

opposite ends
of color
one with
the other
not so
much eh

one the
teacher
the other
young
confused
student

yesterday's sign
today's sign
again
again tommorrow
the day after
certainly a friday
tribute

he deserves so
much more than
a single day

all respect
