to protect and serve what?

without addictions for power

You rock and roll like an avenging angel in every line of this powerful diatribe keith. Stark, bolded, capitalized, passionate language shots out from a heart that is wounded by the rampant violence and abuse of power we see and hear of almost daily it seems. Yes, we are becoming dangerously desensitized to outright murder. This is a bell tolling for humanity. Police murders, mass shootings, hate crimes… You ask all the hard questions. You call us to account. This must stop. I hear you and I applaud you my friend.

at times it feels like an empty path
the age of separation is here and now
am i a pessimist or just honest? sometimes yes most times not
your continued support for this tired old warrior is greatly appreciated
your fervor for honesty is admirable
me? my anger and disrespect for those i consider to be my foe has changed my life
my compassion my protective nature
my empathy for my fellow downtrodden
will not be dissolved by lies treachery or racism

i have chosen my path and here it is

I ask myself the same question. How can this happen? I read the accounts from this side of the pond and was sickened. But then we have our own issues with our police. Rapists and misogynists walk their corridors and they need routing out. Last year an office duty officer murdered a young woman. What’s it all about ? Hope you are ok warrior Keith.

easy part first, i am OK thanks for asking
many times i imagine it feels like the world is closing in on many.
there always seems to be more violence, an ever-increasing number of natural disasters with up ticked devastation
more people more crimes being committed more awareness easier distributions of info true or false
truth is ... it has possibly always been this way before we just weren't having it in our face 24/7
we always known politicians are less than honest HA! most have engaged in whispered conversations
about thr fringe 'queers' the local doctor that is a drug addict the preacher having one sorrid affair or another with certainly a most innocent
the days of ever present rainbows and free ice cream for all were urban myths we engaged

truth is the world we live has always been this screwed
we just had the luxury of ignorance

who knows? this could well be the beginning phase of higher awareness and eager participation of righting as many wrongs as possible
or
we could all be suffering severe delusions of im ok you're ok dont know about the 'coloreds' collective kinda sic mindset
or
as the dead milkmen sing ...'life is s**t the world is s**t'
we cannot be kind to others until we learn to be kind to ourselves PEACE
