empty shell

empty shell

empty shell

you stood against the vacant shell of the building once called home.
your look empty like the span between the four walls.
asking are you lost asking are you ok.
it mattered not you replied there was nothing another could do.
i offered ride to where you needed to go and you graciously replied thanks for asking.
no need to go elsewhere
this is where you came back to stay.
many days since last you were here.
empty space like you had seen better days.
i could see the bond of two cast from use.
this was where you were from.
sitting down leaning back against the wall with eyes closed to rest body and mind.
i could see your shell empty
much like the building you had shared so many times past.
you were but one in the same empty by abandon for a lack of want or need
but you were ok.
you had come back to where you were from and the cycle began
again as neither were no more.
