mason jar nights

screened porch kept skeeters at bay
hot summer sun had its way
summer storms went and went
fields of hay from breeze were bent
sometimes kool aid other days not
it was a country summer hot hot hot
sunset paraded its pallet of colors
we laughed and talked about others
dark caused change in light
the change of light made it night
then the festivity would begin
fire flys lighting bugs were here again
with mason jars sans lid
we chased the lighting bugs we did
it was fun it was such need
our fondest memories are tickled indeed
when one would holler ... GOTCHA!
catch one let one go
watch the magic glow
rents hollered BED!
past regular time did we did stray
on those hot hot summer's day
we 'ed slow our way across the lawn
hit the bed one more yawn
wake up get up the day would begin
another summer day to do it all again

==================================================

not all memories are good memories
learn from the negs don't keep getting beaten down
there is much mental health care available to all of us
it can help make your day manageable
it could save your life

there is no room for embarrassment
it happens to all of us
 just ask
