yeah more than thrice

never been one for any port in a storm

my high school councilor said i was a nere-do-well

the football coach said he could tell

a trouble maker from a mile away

did i give a crap what they would say

really now you have to ask

now clean up your mess

i got a caddy for the road

a 33 year old truck to carry my load

chickens for eggs rabbits for meat

yeah there are quail and rock cornish too take a seat

we may not agree on much or this or that

wipe your boots take off your hat

come on in here's your plate

go on fill it up don't hesitate

and when we are done

we may roll us one

then sit out on the porch

light up the skeeter torch

tell stories and jokes

drink shine take some tokes

and when it's all said and done

we'll walk down to the river and watch the sun

bring in another day
