Do you write the lyrics then add the music or vice versa Keith, or is it a bit of both ?
What a buzz it must be for well known lyricists when audiences of thousands are belting out their words :)

yea it's a BIG THRILL! HA! verse visea & sometimes both
i usually write notes then rewrite sometimes more rewrite sometimes walk away for whatever time needed
i don't play like eddie van halen or stevie ray vaughn ... BUT i know A, B & G chords!
i tune my guitarrrrrrr in open chord and most times infuriate myself for having to practice practice again and again
not really i'm a hack that can't carry a tune in a 5 gal bucket ... but i find enjoyment when i want then put it all back n its case and move on

I've never had the skill to play an instrument but I'm jealous. Another art form to watch from afar and just soak it all in. If someone goes for a stroll humming your song then I think thats pretty amazing.
