summer on the porch

summer on the porch

A Poem by keith
"

it was better view

"
summer on the porch

you had convinced me to move the bed onto the screened front porch.
you said it was better view of the ocean and dunes

your argument was enough and i struggled with that heavy load
as you stood by and directed my every move

good thing for you i was so easy to sway
of course, your body was bait itself

an invitation to do as i pleased
within in reason you quickly add

pointing to the other end you said
no it might be better over there

i moved that cumbersome thing made for rest
to where your graceful fingers suggested

that, now that is just right, come lay down beside me

we rolled about in excited celebration of a new found liberties
the shackles that had held bind were but history

when i awoke you motioned to me
pointing towards the other end

but first you said come, come get your reward
for doing as i wish and for being just you

This is a well written light-hearted poem, Keith. Following instructions paid off well, I see. Good for you. :)
