no joy left

no joy left

A Poem by keith
"

only the pain

"
no joy left

there is no joy left in art only the pain
the conduct of quietened angers
the piece completed takes from its host
a spark of creation
taking toll again and again
as distraction for that not undertaken
my studio collects only dust
not sound of purpose
pencils rust
lights do not chase the darks
soon comes the emptied shell
the leavings of past a token sample of nothing left
there is no joy in art only the pain left
by absence of spark

It takes time to make peace with a memory and the joy will come back. Maybe small at first. A tiny spark you want to capture or just an appreciation of beauty itself.
Your poem is beautiful in its expression graceful and clear for all to see.

To lose that spark of creativity which was once your reason to be is a devastating below. Whether art, poetry or music, the ache remains. Nicely composed and felt keith.
