dangerous bravado

blatant disregard 

of life

the past most know

the present not so

the future a question mark

of unknown

the die cast 

do not give victory

or encourage defeat

it is the emotional rage

the inflated ego

the greed for power

that feeds the need

of dominance

of evil intent

there will never be

a lasting peace

no treaties strong enough

to keep the 

wolves at bay

thoughts and prayers

do nothing more

than give one 

moment of pause

and false security

victory is but a 

momentary falsehood

for in the end

evil always wins
