Gathered Courage

Life is funny like that.

I have gathered my courage, now I have to call.
He answers the phone and I quickly say, " Please don't say another word, there's
so much I need to tell. I Love you. Loved you since the first time we talked.
You were so easy to get along with, kind, funny, caring.
Your ability to lift me up on my worst days incomparable.
You taught me to live again. You showed me how to
make Love over a computer screen. The sweet words.
The goonight kisses covering my screen. The way I melt each time I hear your
voice over the phone.

But I've since come to realize we can't be together,
probably never will. So I won't tie you down. I am setting you free knowing
my tears you cannot see. Just know I Love you.

Silence... Then I hear him say, " Maam?, that was beautifully said but,
you have the wrong number."

Omg!!!!! Oh well, so much for my gathered courage.!!
