Last Day

Last Day

A Poem by angelina neves
"

Albert's Poetry Cafe's "Keeping the Dream Alive!" MY LAST DAY ON EARTH"

"

What shall I do before “resting forever”?

Must I do something unforgivable?

What? Walk on my head?!

Should I say goodbye to friends?

No! Let them smile their last smile to me!

Maybe look more attentively to the blue sky

The flower, the trees…

No. There is to much in my head

Seconds after second

The all life running around in my mind

What went wrong?

What was well done?

Why did I make that turn and not that?

Should I make a statement?

No time for that…

All I know I have said

Just relax!

Do everything as you normally did it

Let no one notice this is my last day!

Why this day will never end?

Long day this one

The longest of them all!

Sorry I missed out reading this one Angie! A wonderful write that made me smile. I loved the ending, but I kind of think one would never want the day to end and it would seem like it was flashing by too quickly!

yes at a specific time we dont know what we can do and what what had done, was it that good? but anyways. i think the good is clear and the bad is clear, although small differences only can appear among them. just try to be yourself even if others dont like it

This stanza is sublime and could be a poem unto itself.

Funny first verse. What was the final event of that last day? Was it Armagedon, or, just intuition?

Ah the longest of them all indeed, your sense of direct messaging is truly guided in this piece, it lends heart to the prose, well done, good read.
