Sixty

Sixty

A Poem by angelina neves
"

14th of July was my birth day and I become 60! So I decided to write about it!

"

Sixty

A “s” from the life salt, the serenity, the secrets discovered and the ones remaining close, the sub-conscientious made conscientious, from all the symbioses, the sensual and simple, the signs and signals and shadows, the sermons of those who think they know, the soil, the segments of straight lines and curves, from the syntheses, the melodious and horrible sounds, the shoes I have put on and take off, the streets I crossed, the sorrows and laughs, from the Saturn, the South and special from the Sun…

An “i” from interior, infinity, illusions, ideas, imagination, idiocies, intentions, impulses, instincts, imprecision, interpretations, improvisation, interests, interlaces, input and output, incognitos and an all lot of “if”…

An “x” probably from X-rays

A “t” from tenderness, from thoughts, talking, tales, tactics, tastes, textures, from the tattoos of my soul, the team work and play, theatre, from all the themes I like, from tears, tension, tests and texts, from temperance, temperature and threads, transformations, from troubles, thorns, thrills, traps, from thousands of things I can’t recall and others I kip, from thunder and tides, from togetherness, from trees, and special from the time passing by…

A “y” from yearns, from years, all the “you” I have met, from the “yet to come”…

60 = ( + o + 0

Half a moon growing bigger

Two circles circulating, rotating, rolling, rolling

To a known destiny where everything is possible and nothing is certain

End of a cycle

To some I disappeared, to others I was made visible

For ones I have died and to others I was born

Like in any cycle of life

A knew cycle begins

I need some silence, so my world can rest and a dream can be realized, penetrating, inspiring, expand in a spiral with out end.

60 years ago it was 1952, I'd been in America since March, had an accent the girls all loved to listen to. missed football terribly. It was two years before I met my wife, and six before we wed. America was simply marvelous. None of the houses had locks
Everyone knew everyone and talked to them if only to say good morning.
In short darlin' you were born in the best of times.
