Hold the doorknob

Hold the doorknob

A Poem by angelina neves

"

Why do we have this compulsion

of give away today?

curl ourselves

closing our eyes

looking inside

at life’s old station

Memories of the past

Dread of loosing memory

or blowing our head

with the craziness of today

Memory is not the future…

Believe me

Old receipts, old truths

the experience of yesterday

Will not help us today…

Say goodbye to the shame

of being disheveled

by the friendly wind

of everyday changes

Life is rebel

To be a live is dangerous

Security is impossible to find

Hold the doorknob of today way

open to the future

the crack

where the light gets in

I enjoyed the power your words and reasoning. To stand aside and let the light in every day. Well written.
